Product Details Technical Specs Installation Instructions
The Mustang GT MRT Interceptor: DMS Cat-Back system has a loud, deep muscle car sound and is handcrafted in corrosion resistant T304 Stainless Steel. Base systems include T304 polished SS 4" tips and 3" mandrel bent tube. Black Ops black matte tip finish is available for an additional fee. This system is engineered for the best sound to match your GT and provides increased performance from increased exhaust flow. MRT has engineered a DMS (Drone Management System) for this Cat-back to give it the most pleasant ride experience. The MRT Interceptor is louder than the EcoFlow but quieter than the KR. It has just enough exhaust presence with elevated sound to Get Noticed, Feel the Performance note and packaged in a design without excessive drone.

For customers with factory-installed Active & Dual Mode Exhaust valves, MRT offers and recommends a simple solution that allows you to upgrade your exhaust system without having to develop a tune. For more information on these plates, refer to MRT Part #92G155 or simply add to your shopping cart before checkout.

Application: 2015 thru 2017 Mustang GT Coupe and Convertible.

The system was easy to install and it sounds great. I get compliments all of the time on how great my mustang sounds. It has a nice deep rumble but it's not so loud that it gets annoying. I highly recommend MRT!

5 of 5 Excellent Exhaust and Service October 2, 2017

Just purchased and installed a Mustang GT Interceptor Cat-Back/DMS exhaust for our 2017 GT/CS vert and couldn't be happier. I purchased the MRT exhaust because of the superb customer support when I had questions about the design, and because of the sound.

The exhaust arrived just a couple of days after I ordered it, and the install, including removal of my old system, took under 2 hours with the car on jackstands.  The MRT components fit very well and were well manufactured with nice welds and finish.  It fits the car as well as the factory system did.

Exhaust has a nice burble at idle, and a throaty growl that reminds you of a big block motor when the throttle is hammered.  Since we have a convertible, I was concerned that the noise level would be too loud at cruising speed with the top down.  This is NOT a problem.  Cruising at 50-70 mph with the top down, the exhaust as a nice rumble in the background that is not overwhelming, and you can hold a normal conversation.
