The SilverHorse Racing Tru-Billet Fuel Door is made of sol 6061-T6 certified aluminum billets, machined down to an exact fit instead of being bent or cast into shape. The result? A durable fuel door that is lighter than the stock fuel door it replaces (approx. 1 Lb.) but still takes just about whatever abuse you can throw at it. The SHR Tru-Billet Fuel Door quality construction all the way through. After anodizing or plating, the fuel doors are hand-assembled using stainless steel hardware, precision ground stainless hinge spacers/washers, and nylon mounting bushings for a perfect fit that requires no drilling of sheet metal. Only the inner plastic housing is removed during the installation process. Retention and closing of the door is accomplished with cadmium-plated press-fit neodymium rare-earth magnets and an exclusive striker plate that is retained by stainless steel hardware, not loose-fitting glued-in components.

The fuel door was rigorously tested to ensure proper function with the new cap-less fuel system for over 4 months prior to release. The SHR Tru-Billet Fuel Door is available in 4 different finishes (Bare Machined Aluminum, Satin Two-Tone Bright Anodized, Polished & Black Anodized, Triple Chrome Plated) and 3 different engraving options (no graving, GT Lettering, and 5.0 engraving). Please contact MRT at 734-455-5807 to place an order for one of these options.

Note: The Bare Machined Aluminum requires finishing before installation. It is intended for customers who would like to paint the fuel door to match their car. It is NOT recommended for customers who would like to receive an assembled, ready-to-install product.
