Your third generation Dodge Charger RT can now sport a MRT Version 1 Cat-Back system that has a loud, deep muscle car sound and is handcrafted in corrosion-resistant T304 Stainless Steel. This system was designed for increased exhaust gas flow, less back pressure and better efficiency. This system is engineered for the best growling sound to match the Charger R/T character by filling your driving experience with excitement and action.
The MRT Version 1 Cat-Back is louder and will have more rasp or drone versus the Version 2 Cat-Back system (MRT Part # 92G146). We sometimes refer to MRT Version 1 exhausts as the Badass Exhaust series and it couldn't be more appropriate here because this exhaust sound typifies the R/T performance series with an aggressive muscle car 1960's sound saying look at me, I take no prisoners (and welcome my friends!). Rev up the RPMs with a badass exhaust that everyone will notice, is packed with plenty of opportunities to Feel the Performance and packaged in a design without excessive drone!
For Charger customers with factory-installed Active & Dual Mode Exhaust valves, your vehicle will need a defeat device so your exhaust is 100% on for a exhaust sound that is full time cool! MRT offers and recommends a simple solution that allows you to install an aftermarket exhaust to defeat active exhaust without throwing a check engine light code or having to develop a tune.
