Your Ford Explorer is already one of the most rugged vehicles on and off the road. With a Fifth-Gen Explorer Axle Back Exhaust from our Extreme series, this SUV will sound as impressive as it looks, whether you're crawling over rocks and hills or driving to work in the morning. Fly untamed over any terrain using our performance exhaust systems.

The Explorer MRT Extreme Axle Back has a straight-through design for extreme performance, giving the most performance sound and improving the exhaust flow. This system has a nice, full, deep exhaust note where you can hear the exhaust system work. It's not howling; it's about the performance. At Wide Open Throttle (WOT), you have a noticeable exhaust presence - it's the call of the wild saying "I'm coming at you!"

Extreme Exhausts for Extreme Driving

This system is engineered for the best sound to match your Explorer and provides increased performance from the increased exhaust flow. The Extreme Sport Axle Back Ford Explorer Exhaust is handcrafted in corrosion-resistant 2.5-inch T304 stainless steel that is CNC mandrel-bent to reduce restrictions in the system. Its's available with four-inch tips with a Black Ops black matte tip finish or the standard polished stainless steel.

If you're looking for an aggressive exhaust sound without sounding cheap or "tinny" or like you cut off your mufflers, this system is a great choice for you. It's all about performance - and quality, too! We inspect each Ford Explorer axle back exhaust at least four times before it leaves the shop to be absolutely certain it meets our quality standards. They come with a limited lifetime warranty and are easy to install in your driveway or backyard. It only takes an hour using standard hand tools - you don't even need a special tune.

The Wild Side of Your Explorer

The MRT Extreme is louder than the Sport Touring Axle Back but quieter than the Extreme Resonator Delete Exhaust. Be sure to check out our full selection of Ford Explorer exhaust systems for more ways to Hear the Difference, Feel the Performance and Get Noticed. Our team can help whenever you need it - just call, email or use live chat.

Application: 2011 thru 2019 Explorer 2.0L 4-cylinder / 3.5L NON TURBO V6

Hear the Difference

  • How does it sound? The MRT Explorer Extreme Axle Back is the loudest and baddest sounding exhaust that is always on.
  • Is there drone or resonance? There is some managed drone that is tolerable.
  • What if I step on it? Wide-open throttle brings out an extreme exhaust roar that screams take no prisoners!

Fast shipping, I really love this kit and it was fairly easy to do, it was hard at first knowing where to cut even with the instructions, so measure first the cut give yourself enough pipe to use.
