Ford Fusion Racing Exhaust Systems
If you thought the end of the Fusion in NASCAR was the end of its performance era, think again. A second-generation Ford Fusion exhaust system from MRT transforms this midsize commuter sedan into a beast of the highway. Our sound engineers have cracked the code to release big power and sound from a Fusion EcoBoost engine with a tone that's uniquely MRT. You can get groceries in the morning and be the talk of the show at night - all in the same car!
Part of getting the most from your exhaust system is having one that perfectly fits with the other components. We know different engine and transmission combinations mean different exhaust requirements - and the Ford Fusion came with plenty of them. As such, MRT has developed aftermarket exhausts for the Fusion FWD, Fusion AWD and Fusion Sport to get the most from each vehicle. If it feels like a new Ford Focus exhaust was made for your vehicle when you step on the gas pedal, that's because it was.
A Fusion of Performance Sound
MRT handcrafted exhausts have the power of custom tuning with easy DIY installation. The Sport Touring exhaust is a sporty, deep-sound exhaust while the Version 2 is a mellow choice for crowded neighborhoods. Our Street Race Fusion exhaust makes a V6 sound like a vintage V8 - and drive like one, too. Ford Fusion axle back exhaust systems also increase exhaust flow for more power and acceleration while being less invasive than a cat-back system.
Each Fusion EcoBoost exhaust is developed and made right here in the U.S. We use corrosion-resistant T304 stainless steel with wide mandrel-bent tubing, straight-through mufflers and beveled exhaust tips. This construction produces maximum exhaust flow, which opens up the sound and power capabilities. Owning an MRT Fusion axle back exhaust will be like nothing you or your friends have heard before! Choose polished steel or a "blackout" tip finish to add some visual style, too.
High-End Performance with DIY Simplicity
We believe any Ford Fusion owner should be able to experience just how much a good exhaust system can do. MRT designs its Ford axle back exhausts for do-it-yourself installation in 60 minutes or less - you don't even need to tune them. Click on a system for detailed instructions put together by the people who built it. While you're there, enjoy videos of just how amazing they sound! Our exhaust systems have a limited lifetime warranty so you can enjoy peak performance for as long as you own your Fusion.
Ford Fusion FAQ
Can I put an aftermarket exhaust on my Ford Fusion?
Yes, every MRT exhaust system is a direct fit and designed to be DIY friendly. An axle back exhaust installation should take 60 to 90 minutes to install so you will quickly be back on the road.
Do any modifications need to be made to the vehicle to install an aftermarket exhaust?
No, MRT exhaust systems are designed to utilize the OEM hanger placement for all our production systems. Search your part number on www.shopmrt.com and scroll down to find full detailed installation instructions. Axle back and cat-back aftermarket systems should not affect emissions.
Do exhaust tips change the exhaust sound?
Tips are at the very end of an exhaust system and will have a small effect on exhaust sound. The exhaust exit point - in the rear or to the side - changes the exhaust sound more than an exhaust tip change.
What Fusion has quad tips?
The Fusion Sport MRT Street Race axle back has three-inch quad tips made from polished T304 stainless steel tip with beveled edges.
What does an aftermarket exhaust on the Ford Fusion sound like?
The MRT Street Race Axle back aftermarket exhaust generates a loud, deep muscle car sound. Stepping on the throttle raises the tone for a more aggressive sound to stand out and Get Noticed. Installing the MRT Sport Touring Axle back produces a deep V6 growl with a mature sport performance sound.
