Subaru WRX Exhaust Systems Deliver on everything the Subaru WRX has to offer by treating it to a handcrafted MRT exhaust system made in the USA. The WRX is already a premium performance rally machine with its high-output turbocharged engine and smooth handling - but it never hurts to have an edge. We carry exhaust systems for the original standard Subaru Impreza WRX, the WRX STI sport model and the WRX VA series that first rolled out in 2015. There are separate designs for sedan and hatchback models, too. Whatever generation of WRX you proudly drive, MRT has an exhaust kit that's a perfect fit.

Premium Sound and Performance
Experienced automotive engineers design every MRT Subaru WRX STI exhaust so it becomes part of the vehicle's DNA. We have cat-back and turbo-back WRX exhausts that are made of T304 stainless steel. The Version 1 Cat-Back Subaru WRX Exhaust is the ultimate "happy medium" with a refined growl and strong horsepower boost that's street-legal in most states. Version 2 exhausts are neighborhood-friendly while Version 3 systems throw aside the restrictions in favor of a mighty roar.
For maximum exhaust flow and power pains, go with the No-Cats Turbo-Back WRX Performance Exhaust. It's a complete upgrade for track days, competition and private roads that will give anyone a jolt. MRT also sells replacement intermediate pipes and J-pipes that further modify the sound based on whether you prefer muscle car, turbo or sophisticated sport decibels in your eardrums.

Subaru WRX FAQs
Should a Subaru exhaust be upgraded?
Change the exhaust! It's simple and this mod gives you power and performance. The idea behind a performance exhaust mod is to remove air flow restrictions and most aftermarket exhaust are lighter than stock. So, increasing air flow and removing weight boosts engine efficiency which results in performance gains and fuel efficiency. As an extra bonus, upgrading the exhaust will let you hear more of the WRX Turbocharged 2.5L engine sounds!
Can I use a WRX exhaust on my Subaru Forester?
Subaru WRXs have dual outlet exhaust tips ("commonly referred to as quad tips") and mufflers so the cutout space in the bumper is not the same. If you want a Subaru WRX exhaust, you will have to increase the cutout and trim the bumper.
What exhaust gives the best sound?
Catback exhaust provides the best sound. These are full exhaust systems from the catalytic converter to the exhaust tips at the back of your car and include the muffler or resonator. On the Subaru WRX a catback exhaust gives you a deep sounding exhaust note so when you rev your engine and release the throttle, you'll hear the crackle and pop of the turbocharged engine.
