Even if you don't have the money or know-how for a full-fledged performance Mustang exhaust system, a non-catted H-pipe still lets you boast a big-time sound upgrade. The Mustang MRT Extreme non-catted H-Pipe for Mustang GT 1996-98 has a loud, deep muscle car sound while delivering low-end torque. Like all MRT Mustang exhaust kits, it's handcrafted in T304 stainless steel that provides the best corrosion resistance and longevity. Bring your Mustang to the track knowing it will sound and like a race car with our American-made exhaust parts.
Off-Road Mustang H-Pipe
A non-catted Ford Mustang H-pipe is the easiest, most affordable way to customize your exhaust system. This system includes 2.5-inch mandrel-bent tubing with T304 stainless steel ends. We've engineered it for the best sound to match your Mustang. It also provides increased performance from higher exhaust flow. Although it offers excellent performance out of the box, a post-installation tune may offer even more gains in some cases.
This fourth-gen Mustang GT H-Pipe fits Mustang GT and Mustang Cobra vehicles manufactured for the 1996-98 model years with the 4.6L V8 engine. Note it will not fit 1999-2004 Mustangs since the "New Edge" redesign changed the engine and exhaust configuration. Also, since installing this H-pipe removes the factory catalytic converter, it is only approved for off-road use. If you want the same sound and performance gains in a street-legal design, search for the 1996-98 Mustang GT Street Race Catted H-Pipe (Part #93C250).
The Extreme Mustang Cobra H-Pipe without Cats has just enough exhaust presence with elevated sound to Get Noticed and plenty of opportunity to Feel the Performance. It's packaged in a design without excessive drone and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
*NOTE: This product is designed for off-road, race use only.*
Application: 1996 thru 1998 Mustang Cobra and GT with 4.6L V8.
