MRT Hood Struts for the sixth-gen Mustang eliminates the need for the factory hood prop rod and give a clean, functional "performance look" to your underhood appearance. By using hood struts, you can easily access the engine area to do maintenance or display your work at the next car show. These struts have a heavy-duty rugged design and are manufactured with craftsmanship and quality in mind to provide years of excellent performance.
Our 2015-23 Mustang No-Drill Hood Struts give show car Mustangs an impressive look that sets them apart from the crowd, helping your Mustang Get Noticed. These hood struts are designed to work with the factory OE hood and reuse the existing factory hood attachment points. No drilling or vehicle modifications are required, making them an easy upgrade that can just as easily be put back into stock form if needed. You'll never again have to worry about the flimsy prop rod getting in the way or coming loose while the hood is up. Switching to Mustang hood struts is a practical way to customize your ride.
MRT is using load equalizing technology to provide a more consistent and stable hood opening mechanism and help minimize the effects of OE factory car to car build variability on hood alignment. Add Style with Colorful Mustang Hood Struts
MRT hood strut brackets are made of high-quality steel for the utmost durability and come standard with a quality black powder coat finish. Custom bracket colors are available for an additional fee; choose a Black Carbon Fiber Effect Finish or factory paint code. More than a dozen common factory finishes are listed in the "Bracket Color" menu above. You can also select "Factor Paint Color Code" and provide a different code. These Mustang hood struts can be used on any sixth-gen North American factory hood except the GT350. This includes the EcoBoost, V6, GT, Bullitt and Shelby GT500. Installation takes half an hour or less using the included hardware and instructions. If you have an aftermarket or special-edition hood, give us a call - we can make a set of hood struts that will support it.
Application: All 2015 through 2023 Mustang OE factory hoods and 2021-23 Mustang Mach 1.

- Aftermarket hoods - call MRT for proper gas strut sizing on aftermarket models, including 2015-16 Roush Edition Mustangs (you provide the hood weight)
