MRT Maverick hood struts January 3, 2024 Reviewed by: Dave H. from MENOMONEE FALLS   So I get the package with all the parts in it.  It includes a 4 x 6 piece of paper that states 'Scan QR Code Before Installing', which I did.  So it takes me to TikTok.  WTF  I had to type in the link to the instructions on how to install the struts.  I was not impressed...................The video was good, but you will understand better if you scroll down and read the written instructions which are more complete.  In the video some things are missed.  In step 3 you use 3 washers, but that is not clear in the video unless you have very good eyes since the man does not say install all 3 washers.........................It is best to watch the video and read the instructions at the same time..................Once I had the struts installed, and it was not hard, we tried them out.  They work GREAT.  Hood goes up perfectly.  Maybe an import would do the same thing, but I would rather support an American worker.  Thank you MRT. Very nice, Easy install, Not perfect January 6, 2023 Reviewed by: L Daniel Clark from Knoxville, TN   These arrived fast and in great shape.  Install was relatively easy, and aside from having to remove the struts once because I installed them upside down, it went pretty smooth.  no matter how I adjust the passenger side strut though, it rests on the wiper fluid cap.  hoping this won't lead to leaks.

July 5, 2022 Reviewed by: Mike Stephens from Michigan   I think that the struts add a little class to the truck.  I understand that gas struts can fail over time but it looks cleaner without having to use the prop rod.  They were easy to install since the directions were easy to follow.  There was one video that I watched on YouTube where it seemed like the installer didn’t even read the directions.

2022 Ford Maverick Hood Strut Kit from MRT May 9, 2022 Reviewed by: MikeB from California   This product is very high quality and the installation was a breeze!  The installation only took about 20 minutes.  The hardest part was getting the hood tightened back down in the exact position from the factory.  If you put blue painters tape around the hinge it's much easier to relocate in the exact location. These struts are a must if you hate the hood prop rod like me.

Actually ordered these struts 1 month prior to finally getting my Maverick shipped to dealer/me. Just installed them. Very easy to do and they work perfectly. Happy with this product from MRT. Maverick First Edition Hybrid Hood Strut March 14, 2022 Reviewed by: Gary from California   I performed the install alone and thought it was going to be tougher than it actually was.  The hood didn't move when I removed the bolts (maybe I was lucky), but the install was smooth and easy.
