Diffusers work in conjunction with other aerodynamic components of a car to help produce downforce. Because a car displaces air as it moves forward, the air molecules in the rear of the car get disrupted causing a vacuum of low pressure air.

To help channel the high speed air flow coming from underneath the car, diffusers redirects the high speed air flow to transition smoothly transition into the low pressure vacuum in the rear. This encourages a smoother flowing air flow underneath the car and allows better performance from other aerodynamic components such as aerodynamic wings.

To combat the effects of front end lift, these Front Wind Splitters are utilized to give extra traction and control in the front of a car. By creating a high pressure area on top of the wind splitter, high pressure air flow is restricted to flow underneath a car. With low pressure below the car, the effect of lift is reduced and a driver can gain from the extra traction and control. The GT-R Widebody aerodynamic Kit for the S197 Mustang gives an aggressive look while enhancing the smooth and subtle lines. This 10 piece kit helps to improve overall handling and traction. This aerodynamic kit increases the front stance by +45mm per front fender and +50mm per rear fender.

It allows installation of massive front wheel sizes of 20x9.5 with 285/30/20 profile tires and rear wheel sizes of 20x 12.5 with 345/25/20 profile tires. To enhance stability, the Mustang Widebody Aerodynamic Kit includes a carbon fiber front wind splitter that is designed as a front undertray. The optional 70 (1,778mm) GTC-500 Mustang Spec adjustable rear wing adds downforce on the rear wheels to increase rear-end stability.

The flow of air is not only limited to the outside of a car. To maximize cooling capabilities, a radiator needs a direct flow of air to allow an engine to maintain consistent temperatures on the race track. Because of structural gaps above the radiator, the flow of air could escape making the radiator not as efficient as it could be.

To help improve the flow of air into the radiator, APR Carbon Fiber Radiator Cooling Plates can be utilized to channel the flow of air directly to the radiator. This will improve the efficiency of the radiator while adding a high-tech, race inspired look to your engine bay.
